Freshfields
Earlier this year, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer relocated to its new 180,000-SF office at 3 World Trade Center, ushering in a new era for the revered law firm.
Together with JT Magen and Gensler to deliver a vibrant new workspace with enhanced function and aesthetic that would better reflect Freshfields' current operational style and be more welcoming to new talent. The reception area was specifically positioned within the building’s footprint to allow for views that overlook the Brooklyn Bridge and the Eastern New York skyline. A multi-level architectural feature staircase provides internal access across the office’s four floors.
Private offices on the perimeter and interior feature glass office fronts and doors, allowing light to permeate while still maintaining discretion and a sense of personal space. A multitude of amenity areas were imagined, including a kitchen and cafeteria, as well as several areas that encourage collaborative interactions, such as breakout spaces and hub areas centered around the pantries on each floor.
